Hitesh R. Joshi is currently holding position of Chairman cum Managing Director of GIC Re, India.

He is a post-graduate in Accountancy from Mumbai University and holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.

Over the course of his career in GIC Re India, Mr. Joshi has undertaken a diverse range of assignments across all key functions.

With effect from 20.07.2026, Mr. Joshi  has assumed charge of Non-Independent Non-Executive Director at GIC Re South Africa Limited Johannesburg , a Subsidiary Company of GIC Re India.
